Living Bravely Group Coaching Program

Are You Ready to Be Clear, Empowered, and Unapologetic?

Living Bravely is a 16-week clarity and mindset program designed to support 1st & 2nd generation immigrants to get clear on their vision of a fulfilling life and cultivate the identity and belief system needed to create it.

Yes! I’m ready!

We have zero doubt that you know how to get sh*t done. The problem is, you’ve been applying all your energy to goals that others want you to achieve.

(And what you want and what they want aren’t necessarily the same thing.)

As a woman or non-binary person of color with immigrant roots, you have had to navigate at least two different sets of cultures, values, and expectations. Two different visions of who you should be and what you should want.

This tug-of-war of “shoulds” between your family and white-dominant society leaves you in the middle, compartmentalizing your identity in order to succeed and belong in both.

And it’s exhausting.

As a 1st or 2nd generation immigrant woman of color, your instinct might be to put figuring out what you want on the back burner, because you’ve been taught to prioritize others.

The people you love want the best for you, but they don’t know what you want. You know you want them to be happy, so you go along with it.

And while you go along you notice, sometimes subtly and sometimes blatantly, that this world has been designed to keep you feeling small.

As a woman of color moving through a white dominant culture, does the advice you find on how to grow and thrive in life feel centered around whiteness? Does it leave you feeling less seen than when you started this journey?

You know in your gut that you’re destined for more than the path you’re currently on. You want to live freely, but it feels like you’re holding yourself back. It’s frustrating knowing there’s so much more in you but staying stuck in the “shoulds” that have confined your greatness.

You have the power within you to unleash who you truly are and create space for a life that is designed by YOU.

I know that you have probably tried to make changes already.
Maybe you have been…

Saving IG posts that inspire you

but feel discouraged that all that inspiration isn’t enough to get you to take different action and isn’t translating to real change

Listening to all the podcasts, reading all the books

but while you’re really good taking in information, it’s equally difficult to turn that information into transformation

DIYing your transformation

but get frustrated from the 1 step forward, 2 steps back dance that happens when you don’t have the support and accountability to maintain sustained action

Going at it alone

but trying to change deeply ingrained generational beliefs by yourself when you’re surrounded by voices who don’t understand you makes challenging the status quo even more isolating

I know this because I tried all those things too. And you’re so not alone in what you’re experiencing.

The reason why you haven’t been able to transform long-term isn’t because you’re incapable of change.

It’s because you’ve inherited a set of survival beliefs from past generations.

Beliefs that are deeply ingrained.

Beliefs that impact the choices you make and the life you create.

Beliefs that have served your lineage…until now.

And in order to create a liberated life, you need a liberated belief system.

And that’s why I created…

Living Bravely

A 16-week group coaching program specifically for
1st & 2nd generation immigrant women of color to break free from old stories and live bravely through self-love and liberated action.

Are you ready to step into your liberation and live a life by your design?

Yes, I’m ready!

And that’s why I’ve created…

Living Bravely

A 16-week group coaching program specifically for 1st & 2nd generation immigrant women of color to break free from old stories and live bravely through self-love and liberated action.

Yes, I’m ready!

“I came into this program feeling lost and unsure of who I am, influenced by people’s opinions about the decisions I make in my own life, and not feeling enough. I didn’t know that there was so much more going on inside me that Nicole, and my supportive sisters, helped me navigate through. Coming out of Living Bravely I am empowered, I am worthy, I am enough, and I love myself. Before, I could never say those words and actually believe it, but now I wholeheartedly believe in me! “

Diana J.

Are you tired of chasing perfection, making decisions based from fear, and ignoring that voice inside you that tells you to go for what you really want?

You are enough, just as you are. Your liberated life is within reach and in Living Bravely you can compassionately uncover what’s been holding you back from that something more you know you want.

In an intimate community of women of color,
you’ll be fully supported while you…

  • Understand and accept yourself (just as you are).
  • Overcome the fears and self-doubt that have made a liberated life seem impossible.
  • Take action towards whatever you want in life.

Because you are ready to live a life of

self-belief, self-trust, and self confidence.

Are you tired of chasing perfection, living in fear of your dreams, and ignoring that voice inside you that tells you to go for what you really want?

You are enough, just as you are, and your dreams are within reach. In fact, the sky’s the limit for you and in Living Bravely you can compassionately uncover what’s been holding you back from that something more you know you want.

In this community of women of color,
you’ll be fully supported while you…

  • Understand and accept yourself (just as you are).
  • Overcome the fears and self-doubt that have made dreaming big seem impossible.
  • Take action towards whatever you want in life.

Because you are ready to live a life of self-belief, self-trust, and self confidence.

Living Bravely Cohorts

In Living Bravely we’ll get to the root of

what’s holding you back

Before Living Bravely, you:

  • Hold yourself to a high standard and if you don’t meet it, you’re really hard on yourself for a long time.
  • Compare yourself to others constantly because you were compared to others growing up.
  • Let self-doubt and fear keep stopping you from taking action.
  • Stay stuck in “I don’t know” because it’s difficult to trust what you really want.
  • Feel the heavy burden of family expectations and obligations.

After Living Bravely, you:

  • Believe you’re enough no matter what happens or what others think.
  • Celebrate yourself without guilt or shame and don’t let comparisons impact how you feel about your life.
  • Take meaningful action from self-belief instead of listening to fear.
  • Dream big because you unapologetically own your desires and capabilities.
  • Honor your family’s hard work AND trust your decision to do things differently than they did.

Living Bravely is the program I wish I had
when I was lost…

As the daughter of Filipino immigrants, I know from personal experience the joys and struggles of being a part of two worlds.

I spent 30+ years of my life doing all the things I thought I was supposed to do without allowing myself to pause and ask myself…is this what I want?

I followed the survival formula that I was given and created a life where I was surviving…but not truly living and definitely not living bravely.

So I set out to change my life.

I quit my job, traveled the world, and figured out what I truly wanted.  I poured thousands of hours, dollars, and tears into my personal transformation.

In trying to build my own map, I listened to podcasts, read books, and joined programs that were helpful but…they were all created by white folks.

They didn’t take my lived experience as an immigrant descendant or woman of color into account.  I felt supported but I didn’t feel seen.

I cultivated what I learned from thousands of hours of coaching our community and created the Liberated Living framework.

These are the tools that helped me and so many of my clients go from living my life on auto-pilot to creating a life with intention and agency.

Over 85 women and non-binary folks of color have graduated from Living Bravely, with heart-filling, happy-tears, I-feel-so-much-more-like-me results.

Your Living Bravely Coaching Team

Alyssa Saquilayan

I am a 2nd-generation Filipina American and Board-Certified Nurse Coach for women of color. As a nurse by education and a coach by training, I combine my love for science and spirituality to attune deeply with ourselves, activate neural reprogramming, and bring out our inner spiciness so that we can live our most fun and authentic life. Recovering from an eating disorder and a case of chronic people-pleasing, I learned the importance of cultivating self-compassion, honor the body’s needs, and to taking aligned action. I’m also a Reiki practitioner and yoga teacher who helps clients to feel more freshly balanced, grounded, and connected to themselves beyond their physical bodies. Although I am passionate about coaching women of color specifically on their body image and eating habits, I believe that a holistic life coaching approach, sprinkled with a bit of play and joy, is what creates lifelong change.

Christene Joy Gonzales

I am a wife, a mother, a first-born, an eldest daughter, a Filipina-American, second generation immigrant descendent, a forever learner, a grounded yoga practitioner, and an evolving entrepreneur as a Career and Life Alignment Coach. My mission, through life’s non-linear pattern, is to guide changemakers to be a mindful, transformational human being and to lead with aligned joy in their career and lives.
Bridging my personal pursuits and professional experiences in a variety of academic and wellness spaces, I offer a variety of tools to build a mindful and intentional life, to express gratitude for what has been, and to embody alignment with our intellect, emotions, and physical structures. I am living proof that my backbone will never be straight or perfect due to my scoliosis spinal fusion at the age of 11, yet my values, career and life experiences, and desires are fully aligned and present.
I encourage changemakers to lead with JOY – to “Just Own Yourself.” I partner with folx to be more mindful by embodying joy and ease to transition deeply into their whole being and wellness journey. “Joy is the ultimate creator,” and I look forward to creating with you!

Patricia Dayleg

I’m the daughter of Filipinx immigrants, a Self-Love Coach for women of color, and a certified Dharma Yoga teacher. My vision is a world in which women of color are so at home in their bodies and minds that they feel at home anywhere, from new relationships to scary doctor appointments to the boardroom. Through moving meditations and experiential coaching, I guide women of color to go within and see that they are enough, and see that as they seek change in their lives and the world around them, they are already whole.

We believe that you are meant to live free of people-pleasing and fear-based choices, and go for what you really want in life.

Thank you Nicole for being so supportive to me and the rest of Cohort 4 during our time in the LB program. You have helped us all bring our full authentic self to this program and cultivated a strong community of WOC that uplifts one another. Through my experience, I have gained the necessary tools to pivot my negative thoughts and biggest insecurities in order to make progress and become the best version of myself.

Krystal S.
I loved the way Nicole organized the explorations and we touched on nearly every topic I needed coaching on …and more! All of our calls were full of lessons and “aha!” moments and I appreciated the energy exchanges between everyone. It was a safe space to be vulnerable and to grow into who we want to be. During and after the program, I felt like I could dream bigger and live more authentically. I felt like the program found me at the perfect time and I’m so grateful for Nicole’s guidance, patience, and sense of humor as we work through heavy topics! It was truly a monumental experience for me.

Marielle
Living Bravely became more than a life coaching program for me. It was a safe and supportive community for WOC like myself, which is so rare. I enjoyed meeting and connecting with other WOC and realizing we all faced very similar struggles.

The program has given me a valuable toolkit that continues to help me navigate change and uncertainty. Most importantly, I’ve learned to cultivate trust in myself and my decision-making, which is the biggest shift I’ve noticed since starting the program. I’ve recommended her to other WOC in my life!

Anna
I knew I had to unpack my generational trauma, but doing it on my own felt like writing a dissertation with alphabet soup. Not only was I lost as to where to start, I realize now how incredibly scared I was. My hopes and dreams scared the shit out of me. I knew claiming them would mean a huge life transformation and important relationships could change forever if I changed.

Nicole breaks down week by week new topics that are the stepping stones to gentle healing. By the end of coaching I went from not trusting myself to feeling confident in my abilities to give myself anything in the world. Nothing feels too far fetched or impossible. Nicole has given me tools to listen to my fear, create healthy boundaries, and hold love for myself.

Arielle
“Nicole opened my eyes up to a world of abundance, there is space for me and the world needs me for who I am.

By the end of the program, I found the things that brought me joy, I was able to define myself outside of my accomplishments, and I found a job with supportive leadership and 2x the pay!”

Jannel
Living Bravely taught me that being brave doesn’t mean taking action without fear, it means having the conviction to move forward in spite of fear.

This program supported me in knowing myself more authentically, exploring the possibility of the future, and reframing my learned belief systems.

Emily
I can not believe how much my self-confidence and clarity on who I am has shifted in such a short amount of time.
After the program, I am now using the tools to recognize when I am giving away my power and victimizing myself. I am recognizing when I am allowing someone to take up space in my mind and allowing others to take control of my thoughts, actions, and behaviors. I am continuing on my journey to reclaim my power, decolonize, discover, and connect to my ancestral roots. I am becoming the empowered, confident leader I’ve always wanted to be.

Ria
The exploration Radical Responsibility stands out. i think about it all the time and there’s immense guilt about all the decisions and choices I make about my life and how it would affect [my parents].

Learning that I should take responsibility for my actions and emotions and in understanding that when I make decisions that are about my own life…if they react, it is mostly about them and their decision to react that way and their world view and their experience and not me causing that. Just to have that door open to start to understand that is going to be immensely life changing for me.

Hi, I’m Nicole.

I’ve coached almost 200 women and non-binary folks of color to gain self-confidence, love themselves, and take action on their dreams.

I know on a DEEP level what our community struggles with AND, more importantly, the solutions to move forward while still honoring those who came before us.

It’s my mission to help others in our community break free from fear and live bravely.

Are you ready to join the community and live bravely with us?

Living Bravely FAQs

I know this might be one of your first times investing in yourself and exploring a group coaching program — which means you probably have a lot of questions!  And if so, that’s all good!  My goal is for you to get the BEST support possible and for you to feel that this program is aligned to what you’re looking for.

Here are some answers to questions that may be popping up for you:

I’m a 3rd, 4th, 5th generation immigrant. Can I still apply to join?

For sure!!  This program is designed for immigrants and immigrant descendants.  If the program description hit home for you, then I highly encourage you to apply.

What’s the enrollment process like?

After you apply, we will reach out to set up a 1:1 conversation with you. We want to talk 1:1 with every person who is seriously interested in joining Living Bravely.  We do this to:

  1. make sure that this program can support what you need and
  2. help ensure supportive group dynamics.

In other words…We want to make sure this program is going to support you and that it will be a great fit.  If not, we’re happy to send you resources or referrals to other amazing WOC coaches.

If we both agree that it’s a great fit, we will send you the coaching agreement and invoice for the first installment. From there, you’ll receive an invitation to join the private space and start connecting with the other participants.

If you’re interested, we highly encourage you to apply and set up a quick chat with us.  We know that takes courage and celebrate you in advance for taking that step!

I’ve never shared vulnerably in front of others and it’s hard for me to take up space. Will that be an issue?

First, I totally relate!  And, you’re not alone.  For most of us, we weren’t encouraged to show our emotions or share what we’re going through.  Ya know, part of that “it’s all good” mask we were taught to wear.  So I totally get that it will feel uncomfortable.

And this is exactly why a group of just our community is so magical.  In 95% of cases, whatever you share will resonate with at least 1 other WOC in your pod.  The feedback I hear all the time is, “wow, I don’t have to explain or justify myself.  And I see myself in other women’s stories.”  Get ready for some next level validation!

How much time should I set aside for this program?

The group calls will be 90 minutes 3x per month, plus about an hour each week to process, reflect, and fill out the worksheets.  Anything above and beyond that is totally up to you.

Will I get coached every week?

You may not receive direct coaching every week but we guarantee you will still take something away from witnessing other people’s coaching.  That’s the magic about being a part of a program that is designed just for our community.

When are the coaching sessions?

The April 2022 cohort will have 90-minute group coaching sessions on Mondays from 3-4:30pm PST / 6-7:30pm EST.

1:1 coaching sessions are scheduled based on your availability.

Will I be coached by Nicole?

The April 2022 cohort will be led by coach Patti Dayleg. Nicole will be involved in many of the sessions but the majority of coaching will be done by Patti.

You also have the option to upgrade your investment to add on 1:1s with Nicole.
